This week’s book is about body language, or non-verbal communication. For twenty-five years, Joe Navarro was an FBI counterintelligence special agent and supervisor specializing in non-verbal communications.
Navarro takes us through numerous examples of how he used non-verbal to establish if a suspect was lying. Sometimes the non-verbal communication was a matter of life and death.
This book took me on a fascinating discovery of non-verbal communication and dispelled many of the common myths about body language. If you are like me you will be surprised about the parts of the body that give people away the away the most, and it is not the face or eyes!
The book is co-written by Marvin Karlins, a Ph.D. in psychology from Princeton University and author of twenty-three books. This book increased my non-verbal intelligence and ability to read people. It was also a darn good read! Hope you enjoy it.
